Reduce downtime with UX

Our partner DMG MORI approached us with the following assignment: To increase the user-friendliness of the DMU 65 monoBLOCK® without significantly increasing costs. For us, this meant a further development of the machine design, including additional functions and improved UX - without increasing costs.

Our approach

Optimized door design

The new design concept makes it possible to replace the windows from the front without having to remove the door.

Lightweight material

An all-plastic cladding in the door area replaces the complex sheet metal processing of the predecessor model and creates a further competitive advantage.

The new concept improved accessibility to the machine and brings a high level of visibility into the interior. The high level of user-friendliness results in 70% less machine downtime.

Lots of power in a small space ...

... thanks to clever industrial design: With a footprint of around 7.5 m², the DMU 65 monoBLOCK® is the most compact machine in its class.
